Alysis / Pitney Bowes

I worked at Alysis Technologies in Holyoke as a contractor.

Alysis is one of the early developers of Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment (EBPP) framework - that is a framework for displaying invoices and statements and to allow online payment. It is sold either as a tool or a service to other companies needing an EBPP presence on the web. The product was originally called WorkOut and was renamed to D3 Advantage after the company was sold to Pitney-Bowes.

This experience gave me early and substantial exposure to developing and deploying web applications to the Internet.

After Alysis was sold, I paid many visits to Pitney-Bowes in Danbury, CT. Pitney-Bowes is well-known, of course, as a provider of industrial mail equipments. This is where I see letter folding and postage printing machines the size of a large fridge.

I have many pleasant experience working at Alysis and continue to maintain contact with some friends that were made there.
